At Madison Square Garden on Feb. 5, Enrique performed a sold-out show.The concert was part of the tour for his 2010 album "Euphoria."

Enrique Iglesias, Shakira Lead Billboard Latin Music Award Nominations

This was the year that went pop around the world, and Latin music was no exemption, with Enrique Iglesias and Shakira, both intersect acts with big up-tempo pop albums, leading the list of finalists for the 22nd annual Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Iglesias, whose album "Euphoria" has had unabated success since its release last June, was the frontrunner, up for 14 awards, including Artist of the year, Album of the year and Pop Album of the year, Hot Latin Songs Artist of the year, Male and Hot Latin song of the year for "Cuando Me Enamoro," the single featuring Juan Luis Guerra, which was the longest running track of 2010 at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart.

Iglesias also has two tracks-"Cuando Me Enamoro" and "I Like It," featuring Pitbull-vying for Hot Latin Song of the year, vocal event."It's very exciting," said Iglesias when told about his finalist status. "I grew up reading Billboard and being on those charts is always important to me."

Iglesias gets 14 Latin awards nods

For this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards with 14 nominations,Enrique Iglesias is top of the list of finalists.

Hip-shaking sensation Shakira follows is just behind with 13 nods for the ceremony, which takes place in Miami on April 28.

With the native Bronx group Aventura,Enrique shares the nomination for artist of the year,the Mexican pop trio Camila and Shakira.

He also competes in the Hot Latin Song of The Year category with Cuando Me Enamoro, or When I Fall In Love, which he sings with veteran Juan Luis Guerra. He received nine nominations.

Enrique Iglesias: I don’t like Valentine’s Day

Enrique reveals that he doesn’t like Valentine’s Day because wants to make women feel good every day.

Since 2001,tennis star Anna Kournikova has been dated by the star singer Enrique Iglesias, although he has no interest in the upcoming romantic festival.

“I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day. I don’t know, we just don’t do it,” the 35-year-old told more! magazine.

“I wouldn’t say [I think it should be] every day, but I would say that it definitely doesn’t need to be a special day to make your girlfriend feel good.”

Enrique is recently battling with insomnia and feels that due to his excessive touring he is unable to do rest.

“Last night I slept for two hours. The doctors tell me, ‘You have to get into a routine.’ But I’m like, ‘How do you adjust to a certain time when you’re in England one day, Brazil the next?’ It’s impossible,” he added.

Enrique gets near to female fans

Pulling up fans on stage can be problematic sometimes because sometime he choose crazy one said the singet Enrique Iglesias.

Lots of female fans are admire of the heartthrob singer, many of who flock to his concerts in the hope of getting to meet their idol.

Enrique Iglesias who is popularly known for pulling up fans on stage revealed that sometimes he has often been left wondering if he should be more careful as occasionally the females are overzealous.

"[I choose] girls... whoever wants to come up on stage. That's the thing, you never know who you're going to get. Sometimes you get crazy people," he laughed. "But I like being close to my fans. Sometimes they sing, sometimes I kiss them, sometimes we meet up afterwards...!"

Enrique Iglesias announces Connecticut show

In order to populate his latest album, Euphoria,Enrique Iglesias will return to the road next month for extra shows.

On Thursday, February 3,The Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias will play the MGM Grand Theatre at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Tickets are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

The album Euphoria is the ninth studio album which contains both English and Spanish songs.The album debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 after its release last July and has since been powered by the hit single “I Like It”, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
